Following these care instructions will help protect the fabric, embroidery, and appliqué so you can enjoy your piece for years to come.

Damage resulting from improper washing, drying, ironing, or the use of harsh cleaning products is considered normal wear and is not covered by our return or refund policy.

 

Caring for Your Hand-Embroidered Garment

Washing

  • Turn the garment inside out before washing to help protect the embroidery and appliqué from friction.
  • Hand wash in cold water using a mild detergent.
  • Avoid scrubbing, wringing, or twisting the embroidered areas.
  • If needed, gently agitate the garment by hand and rinse thoroughly with cold water.

Avoid harsh products. Do not use bleach, stain removers, fabric whiteners, or other harsh chemicals, as these may damage the fabric, embroidery threads, or appliqué details.

Drying

After washing, gently reshape the garment while it is still damp.

Lay it flat on a clean towel or hang it to air dry in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight whenever possible.

Do not tumble dry, as high heat may shrink the fabric or affect the handmade embellishments.

Ironing

If ironing is needed, turn the garment inside out and use a low heat setting.

Avoid ironing directly over embroidery or appliqué. If necessary, place a pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric for additional protection.

Caring for Your Hand-Embroidered Home Decor

Care

  • All home decors are original handmade art objects and should be handled with care.
  • Please avoid pulling, brushing, or otherwise disturbing the threads on either side, as this may damage the embroidery.
  • The framed art pieces usually are unglazed, no glass, so I recommend keeping the piece away from direct sunlight and areas of high humidity to help preserve its beauty over time.
